Pre-calibrated with 4 profile ranges to ensure accurate coating thickness measurement on blasted substrates, the Elcometer 456 IPC Thickness Gauge is fast and very easy to use.
Profile Ranges

The user selectable surface profiles include smooth, fine, medium and coarse ranges. The gauge’s built in integral ferrous probe allows thickness measurements to be taken on flat or curved surfaces, in mils or microns.

Similar to the Elcometer 550 Non-Contact Powder Thickness Gauge, this gauge includes a laser guide to help detect and keep consistent measuring distances. As a result, the number of readings and the speed at which they are completed are significantly increased.

By carefully controlling the thickness of powder applied to a product, you can minimize your powder usage and ensure the quality of your coating. As contact measurement solutions damage the finish and do not predict the cured coating thickness, measuring the powder thickness pre-cure requires a non-contact solution.
